On a local level, Sharon was awarded the Currier McEwen Award for Best Siberian at the Maine Iris Society’s June Show. Receiving this award was a real thrill for her. Her entry was the Hollingworth’s Siberian Iris, ‘Currier’. Doc would have laughed a hearty laugh of joy at the synchronicity of it all.

Congratulations to John White for winning the 2007 Payne award with his Dirigo Pink Milestone! Each year the Payne award is given to the Japanese Iris receiving the most votes cast by accredited AIS show judges. The beauty of the flower and resilience of the plant reflect John’s years of hard work and dedication to his hybridizing goals. |

In 2007 Currier’s Easter Pastel and Chandler Fulton’s Gossamer Breeze each received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society. John White’s Dirigo Star won an Award of Merit. |
